The Boise State University offers a lecturer position and different scholarships aimed at Basque students

Boise is one of the cities where the Basque diaspora is more consolidated, and it is not surprising that Boise State University offers an extensive program of Basque Studies. For example, the new Eloise Garmendia Bieter Chair, created by the Etxepare Basque Institute, will start soon. With the intention to strengthen the Basque studies program, the university is looking for a lecturer to teach Basque language and culture. They offer a renewable nine-month contract, combining teaching and research. The person elected will begin work on 15 August.
The conditions are the following: Ph.D. in Basque Studies or a related field (ABD candidates will be considered); experience teaching Basque language and/or culture at the undergraduate level; native or near-native fluency in Basque and in English; ability to incorporate new technologies in the classroom; commitment to professional development; dedication to program building, including outreach to the local Basque Community; cross-cultural sensitivity. On the other hand, the BSU also offers a Basque Graduate Scholarships program; Students that have a Bachelor of Science degree (M.S. Applicants), or a Master of Science degree or Licenciatura (Ph.D. Applicants) in any engineering field, computer science, physics, earth sciences, chemistry, the life sciences, or mathematics by May 2016 are encouraged to apply for Fall 2016 admissions.
