The book "Pomes perdudes. Antologia de narrativa basca moderna"will be presented on Thursday October 2, in the Universities UB (Universitat de Barcelona) and UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). The book gathers tails by different Basque authors, that have never been translated into Catalan before. The publisher is Tigre de Paper.
The presentations will be at 10 am at the UB, Sala de Professors de la Facultat de Filologia; and at 13 pm at the UAB, Sala d’actes de la Facultat de Letres. The writers Xabier Montoia and Xabier Mendiguren will go to the presentations and the moderator will be Aritz Galarraga, reader of the Etxepare Basque Institute.
The book gathers stories by Txomin Peillen, Jon Mirande, Joseba Sarrionandia, Patxi Zubizarreta, Eider Rodriguez, Karmele Jaio, Koldo Izagirre, Harkaitz Cano, Uxue Apaolaza, Xabier Montoia, Katixa Agirre and Iban Zaldua. Daniel Escribano has chosen the stories and Xabier Mendiguren Elizegi has written the introduction.
