The Directors’Fortnight 2016, parallel to the Cannes Film Festival, to be held between 12 and 22 May, has announced the films that will compete this year in its Official Section. "Decorado" is the third short film by Alberto Vazquez, an author who has a personal and unique narrative universe, which uses humor to reflect on the absurdity of life.
The story is an existentialist fable starring anthropomorphic animals, that talks about fate and human freedom. It is a 2D animation film that won last year´s award for the Best Short Project at the Festival Cinema Jove.
The project is produced by Ivan Miñambres (UNIKO) and Nicolas Schmerkin (Author of Minuit), with the support and participation AltContent Movistar +, ICAA and the Basque Government. In his artistic team it has professionals like Khris Cembe in the direction of animation, Martin Romero, Pamela Poltronieri, Diana Cano, Laura Aguado and Carlos Alonso.
