Three Basque productions will take part at the "Different 7!" festival

Three Basque cinema productions are joining this year the “Different 7!” film festival in Paris (June 18-24): two of them within the official program, and the other as part of  the “Small is Biútiful” meeting. The Etxepare Basque Institute collaborates with this festival one more year in order to support the presence of Basque productions.

As competitors in the official programme we can fild the films “La Herida” and “El Rayo”. The first one, directed by Fernando Franco and produced by Kowalski Films, has been awarded recently with the Goya award to the Best New Director, among other prizes. “El Rayo”, a comedy directed by Fran Araújo and Ernesto de Nova and produced by Altube Filmeak, achieved a great success at the New Directors section of the San Sebastian International Film Festival.

In addition, the film “Demonios tus Ojos” by Pedro Aguilera has been selected to take part in the “Small in Biútiful” meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to put professionals from Ile-de-France in contact with Spanish cinematographic projects, to produce them together.
