Trio Zukan will tour Québec this September alongside the Quasar Saxophone Quartet, offering four concerts.
The first performance will take place on September 18 at the Wilder Espace Orange in Montreal. They will then head to Chicoutimi for a concert on September 20 at the CEM – Centre d’Expérimentation Musicale. On September 22, they will perform at the E27 Conservatory of Music in Québec City, and finally, on September23, they will play at Coop Paradis in Rimouski. All concerts will be held in collaboration with the Quasar Saxophone Quartet.
With this tour, Trio Zukan continues the connection established during their participation in the Saison Québec–Pays Basque 2021–2022, where they first met Quasar.
Trio Zukan is made up of Maria Zubimendi (accordion), Gorka Catediano (percussion), and Jon Ansorena (txistu).
This tour is part of the "Ça colle au basque" project, aimed at promoting Basque language and culture in the French-speaking world.
