Womex 2022: Basque. Music.

Womex, the world’s leading gathering of music professionals, will be held in-person in Lisbon from 19 to 23 October.

The event features over 2,600 professionals come together from 90 countries, plus 7 stages, 700 exhibiting companies, 100+ speakers, films, an opening concert and an award ceremony.

This year, Basque music will be represented through the Basque. Music. stand. In addition, a Basque. Music. at Womex 2022 catalogue will be handed out to artists from around the world during the event.

Musicians from previous editions of Womex have included Amak (2021), Juan Mari Beltran (2017), Kalakan (2018), the Topa-K project (2019) and Xabi Aburruzaga (2020) in concerts organized by Basque. Music. 

The Virtual WOMEX platform will facilitate collaboration and cooperation worldwide. This digital space also offers the possibility of networking throughout the year.
