ADUR and RTZ will take part in SUNS Europe this year, with the support of Etxepare Euskal Institutua. Dedicated to contemporary music, film and literature created in Europe’s minority languages, the festival will take place from 2 to 10 October in Udine and other locations across the Friuli region.

ADUR will perform on 3 October. The Bilbao-based rave-punk duo combine Basque folklore and contemporary music through heavy sub-bass, punk guitars and shouted vocals. This year they will present their first full-length album, PUNK < RAVE.

RTZ will perform on 9 October. Following a one-year break, the group return with EDEN, a sixteen-track album exploring the duality between paradise and hell. Rooted in rap, the project also opens up to other musical genres.

RTZ are also among the seven artists selected for the SUNS Europe 2026 music section, alongside Momi, Prokriva Nočiva, Zeltia Irevire, Andrea Andrillo, Ölivias and Gwen. Their work reflects the festival’s linguistic diversity, with Friulian, Slovenian, Galician, Sardinian, Catalan, Basque and Welsh represented among the selected artists. All seven will perform at the final concert in Udine on 10 October.

SUNS Europe

SUNS Europe is a festival dedicated to contemporary artistic creation in Europe’s minority languages. Its programme spans music, film and literature and promotes exchange between artists and linguistic communities from across the continent.

Etxepare Euskal Institutua has collaborated with SUNS Europe for several years to strengthen the international presence of Basque-language creation; previous editions have featured Basque artists including Verde Prato.
