Author Joxemari Iturralde to attend the Miami Book Fair

The Basque author will participate in two events as part of the IberoAmerican Author Program at the Miami Book Fair, held from November 12th to 18th. Iturralde is slated for the 17th, along with authors from other countries.

The IberoAmerican Author Program and the Cuatrogatos foundation will organize a seminar dedicated to children’s and young adult literature for the 5th year, as part of Miami Book Fair’s regular programme. This year’s seminar, titled Más libros, más libres: lectura y pensamiento independiente (More books make you freer: reading and independent thinking), will be held on November 17th from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Joxemari Iturralde will take part in the seminar from 1.30 to 2.45 p.m. Other Basque authors, including Mariasun Landa, Juan Kruz Igerabide, Miren Agur Meabe and Yolanda Arrieta have been invited guests in previous editions.
The author will also participate in another talk in the Official Progamme: Tiempos divergentes en la escritura iberoamericana (Divergent Times for Latin American literature), from 4.30 to 5.45 p.m., along with Mexican author Martín Solares and Bolivian author Edmundo Paz Soldán. Each writer will talk about one of their novels.
The Miami Book Fair, organized by Miami Dade College, is the largest book fair in the United States. Over 300 international authors are invited each year to present their latest books and participate in speeches and talks. With the support of Etxepare Basque Institute, Basque authors also have the opportunity to attend this renowned fair.
