The International Festival of Theater and Street Arts of Valladolid (TAC) has become a gold standard, operating as both as a festival and fair. From 20 to 28 May, the event is celebrating its 18th edition. For the 12th year running, the festival has invited Basque companies to take part, with the support of the Basque Etxepare Institute and the Department of Culture of the Basque Government.

This year, four Basque companies are taking part in TAC: Kukai Dantza Taldea and Borda Bros, with the show ‘Topa’ (which was performed yesterday); Trapu Zaharra, with the show ´A cal y canto´ (today and tomorrow); and Zanguango Theater, with ‘Flux’ (today and tomorrow). In addition, stand at the fair will shine the spotlight on Basque productions.

Participation in TAC is a showcase for the companies, giving them prestige and the chance of opening new doors and opportunities. Over the last 12 years, a total of 22 Basque companies have offered 39 shows of all types (theater, dance, circus, musicals, installations, itinerant shows...).

Representatives of the Basque Government and the Etxepare Basque Institute are also currently at the festival, supporting the Basque theatre companies and helping them raise the international profile of the Basque productions.
