BIME Bogotá 2025: Ezpalak

This year’s BIME Bogotá will run from May 6th to 9th. The group Ezpalak will be taking part in the showcase organised by BASQUE. MUSIC.

BIME is an international music industry event that has been held in Bilbao since 2013.  This year, it will also take place in Bogotá, Colombia, for the fourth time.

In addition to showcasing its music, Ezpalak will have the opportunity to participate in all three days of the conference and network with professionals from different sectors of the music industry.

The band will take their album ‘Gatza’ to Colombia to present their self-released work under their own label, marking the fourth LP of their career. The members of Ezpalak are Juanjo Berasain (vocals), Eñaut Gaztañaga (guitar), Unai Eizagirre (bass) and Janardana Iglesias (drums). Since its inception in 2019, the band has established itself as a key player in the Basque alternative music scene.

May 6, Tuesday

• Euskal Herria-LATAM Forum for Professional Collaboration. The annual activity is expanded this year with the participation of professionals from other South American countries. The activity will include a breakfast at 10:30 a.m. at the working tables of the EAN University.
• BASQUE. MUSIC. showcase: Ezpalak. 22h, 440 Music Hall.

May 8, Thursday

• Round table: Basque Country and Catalonia: support strategies for musical internationalization. Organized by Etxepare Euskal Institutua and the Institut Ramon Llull of Catalonia, representatives of the two institutions, ICEC and Musika Bulegoa will present the lines of mobility and internationalization strategies of the Basque Country and Catalonia. 11h05, Campus Hall.
• The group Ezpalak will make an artistic stay with the Colombian musical group Superlitio.

BASQUE. MUSIC.

Basque. Music., the platform dedicated to raising the international profile of Basque music, is promoted by Musika Bulegoa, the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Basque Government. Basque. Music will once again be present at this Colombian event, aiming to build artistic and professional bridges between Latin America and the Basque Country.

In addition to the showcase organised by BASQUE. MUSIC., another Basque artist will take part in BIME Bogotá. The singer Idoia will present her album ´De amar y desandar´, a personal album and a call to life.
