EH Sona: Roba Estesa + Huntza

Huntza and Roba Estesa will give a two-band concert on 3 December at 8:30pm at Sala Apolo. The two bands will be part of the line-up of the Euskal Herria Sona festival, which from 6 November to 10 December will be a showcase for various Basque bands. This year will be the 23rd edition of the biggest Basque music festival outside the Basque Country.

The Euskal Etxea of Barcelona is the prime mover behind the festival, which takes place at the Basque centre itself as well as at other recognised venues in the city, with support from the Etxepare Basque Institute.

Huntza is made up of Josune Arakistain Salas (trikitixa and vocals), Uxue Amonarriz Zubiondo (tambourine and vocals), Aitor Huizi Izagirre (violin), Aitzol Eskisabel Ruiz (electric and acoustic guitar), Inhar Eskisabel Ruiz (bass) and Peru Altube Kazalis (drums).

Roba Estesa is an all-female octet born in Tarragona. The members are Alba Magriñá (drums and percussion), Anna Sardà (bass, cello and vocals), Clara Colom (diatonic accordion and vocals), Claudia García-Albea (violin and vocals), Gemma Polo (vocals), Laia Casanellas (Spanish guitar), Helena Bantulà (electric guitar) and Sandra Brake (Catalan sign language interpreter).
