At 11:30pm on 9 and 10 October, Hortzmuga Teatroa and Deabru Beltzak will take their show ´Senta, a la deriva´ to the streets. As part of the Fira Tàrrega performing arts festival, the show will start at Plaça del Carme and wind its way through the streets. The Etxepare Basque Institute is a sponsor of FiraTàrrega, with a view to promoting a window for ‘Basque. Performing Arts’ (a brand designed to shine an international spotlight on the Basque performing arts).

The show is a contemporary street version of Richard Wagner´s opera ´The Flying Dutchman´, a travelling, night-time musical theatre production of a woman’s emotional journey as she faces her fears, anger and pain, makes her own decisions and decides her own destiny.

Created in 1981 in Tàrrega (Lleida, Catalonia) – and postponed last year – FiraTàrrega has become a showcase for stage creativity, with a diverse programme that focuses on street arts and public space. It is also an indispensable point of reference for the performing arts, with a thriving market for the national and international sale and booking of theatre shows.
