International Day of the Basque Language: 10 countries and a range of activities

Basques in the diaspora and Basque language students around the world can learn about the Basque language and culture on the International Day of the Basque Language, held this year on 3 December. Once again, the Etxepare Basque Institute will join in the activities organised by the partner lectureship programmes and cultural centres in Europe and the Americas.
The activities will take place this year in 10 countries, through cultural programmes organised within the international network of lectureships, many of which can be followed online.

Talk: ´Studiare basco in un barnetegi´
Marta de Pedis and Claire d´Inca, students at the Amorebieta barnetegi (total immersion Basque language school), will talk about their experiences. De Pedis is currently a researcher at the University of the Basque Country and will talk about the importance of the Basque language in her professional and personal career.
