Artist Juan Pérez Agirregoikoa will be exhibiting his latest work at the 36th Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts. Taking regenerative democracy as his starting point, his handmade project develops cultural and artistic languages and mechanisms to raise awareness of citizen participation and collective responsibility. The exhibition will take place at the International Centre of Graphic Arts (MGLC), Moderna Galerija, and City Art Gallery Ljublijana.

Juan Pérez Agirregoikoa has exhibited his work at KIT in Düsseldorf, as well as in Barcelona, Madrid and at Artium in Vitoria-Gasteiz. He has also created permanent installations at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. For several years, he has been creating drawings based on Venn diagrams, and his exploration of this mathematical method has resulted in a mural that invites conversation and debate.

The Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts is celebrating its 70th anniversary, making it one of the oldest events of its kind in the world. Since its inception in 1955, the biennial exhibition has showcased the work of around 9,000 artists from 122 countries. Throughout its history, the exhibition has highlighted Ljubljana and Slovenia’s art on the global stage and has established itself as a key event for graphic and contemporary artists.
