Miren Arzalluz will be the Director of the Etxepare Basque Institute. Arzalluz will take over from Aizpea Goenaga, who said goodbye to the Institute with words of appreciation, in the labor of spreading the Basque language and culture throughout the world.

After graduating in History at the University of Deusto, Arzalluz completed her master´s degree in Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics and the Master´s degree in History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art. After working at the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection in Kensington, she has focused her professional carrer on museums, specally in the conservation and curation of fashion exhibitions. She was responsible for collections and curator of the Museo Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum and responsible for the program of the activities of Eusko Ikaskuntza in Bizkaia, among others.
