Residency Unlimited offers a one-month residency in Swansea
Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
Mission Gallery, in partnership with The Jane Phillips Award, Elysium Gallery Swansea and Residency Unlimited offers a fully funded month long residency opportunity in either October 2015 OR February 2016 in the Welsh city of Swansea. To that end, they have launched a raffle trough their website. The prize will cover the airfare cost to Swansea and return from wherever the winning artist is located as well as accommodation expenses on site.
The artist entering the raffle is a practicing visual artist (of all disciplines) with a website or portfolio URL showing at least 3 years of professional practice. Cross-disciplinary practices are also encouraged.
The aim of this initiative is to support an artist that reflects a unique view of the city of Swansea and to reflect on its past, its present, its architecture and society. In Swansea, the hosting organization Mission Gallery will provide the artist with a working studio at Elysium Gallery Studio; access to the library, technical equipment and materials at the City Art College; mentoring sessions, critical feedback and portfolio reviews with introductions to local curators, artists and regional partner venues.
