Seven bands and artists from the Basque Country have been nominated for independent music awards

The MIN Awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 14, at Circo Price theatre in Madrid. Organized annually by the UFI (the Spanish association of independent music publishers and record producers), the MIN Awards recognize the best independent music from Spain. In this tenth edition, seven Basque bands are up for awards in some of the 22 categories.

The MIN Awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 14, at Circo Price theatre in Madrid. Organized annually by the UFI (the Spanish association of independent music publishers and record producers), the MIN Awards recognize the best independent music from Spain. In this tenth edition, seven Basque bands are up for awards in some of the 22 categories.

Nominees for the Best Album in Basque are Delorean, Fermin Muguruza & The Suicide of Western Culture, Jabier Muguruza, Rafa Rueda, and Zea Mays.

Fermin Muguruza & The Suicide of Western Culture and Delorean are also nominated for the Best Electronic Recording. Euskal Barrokensemble has been shortlisted for Best Classical Music Album award.

The Basque band Belako has clinched the most nominations, representing four categories: Best Artist, Song of the Year, Best Video Clip and Best Live Act.
