Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.
From 10 to 21 September, Le Temps d’Aimer la danse will bring its programme to both sides of the Basque Country. Biarritz will remain the festival’s main hub, with performances also taking place across towns on the coast and inland in the Northern Basque Country, as well as at Lekuona Fabrika in Errenteria and Tabakalera in Donostia / San Sebastián.
As part of Ça colle au basque, and through the collaboration between Etxepare Basque Institute and Malandain Ballet Biarritz, seventeen Basque companies will take part in the festival. The programme includes work by Mizel Théret, Collectif Ibawa, Oihan Indart, Lucia Lacarra Ballet, Led Silhouette, Bilaka, Elirale, Lasala, Haatik & Jone San Martin, Idoia Rodriguez and Altraste Danza, among others.
On 12 September, Tabakalera will also host the professional Basque Dance showcase, organised by Etxepare Basque Institute, Malandain Ballet Biarritz and ADDE (Association of Dance Professionals of the Basque Country). Aimed particularly at programmers from the French-speaking world, the event will foster new connections between Basque dance companies and international networks
