SOKA Basque dance exhibition on display in Bordeaux

The cultures of Aquitaine and the Basque Country come together in Aquitaine.eus. One of its projects is SOKA, the exhibition on Basque traditional dance, which will be displayed in the media library in the Meriadeck quarter of Bordeaux.

The cultures of Aquitaine and the Basque Country come together in Aquitaine.eus. One of its projects is SOKA, the exhibition on Basque traditional dance, which will be displayed in the media library in the Meriadeck quarter of Bordeaux.

SOKA, euskal dantzaren urratsetan, a traveling exhibition produced by EKE (Euskal Kultur Erakundea) with support from the Etxepare Basque Institute, will be on show in four languages from December 2 to January 31. The goal is to spread an appreciation for traditional Basque dance. SOKA will include over 400 illustrations (collections of photos and images, testimonies, audio ...). Videos will also be on display to highlight the aesthetics and social importance of dance.

This exhibition is part of the Aquitaine.eus project, which has programmed different meeting points this autumn between the culture of Aquitaine and the Basque Country. Check the complete programme at the following link.
