Süne and Amorante will take part in the next edition of Fira Mediterrània in Manresa (Catalonia), from 15 to 18 October, through showcases organised by BASQUE. MUSIC.. Fira Mediterrània is a strategic market for artistic projects that use roots, tradition and popular culture as creative driving forces.
Here is the information on the performances by both artists:
AMORANTE
17 October, Saturday, 20:30. El Sielu.
SÜNE
Night of 17 to 18 October, Saturday to Sunday, 00:30. Plaça Sant Domènec.
Gipuzkoa-born ethnomusicologist and multi-instrumentalist Ibán Urizar, Amorante, stands out for his ability to blend genres as diverse as flamenco, traditional Basque music and Eastern sounds. A contemporary creator who renews folklore from an experimental perspective, he challenges preconceptions by exploring new sonic horizons through an avant-garde approach.
After bringing the successful chapter of Huntza to a close, SÜNE is presenting her first solo album, AMAINEMAN. The album consists of 11 songs and features collaborations with major artists. With the title AMAINEMAN, amain eman — “to let oneself go”, “to flow” or “to give free rein” — SÜNE wanted to bring this little-known Basque expression to the forefront. Since its release in autumn 2025, she has been presenting it on an extensive tour.
