This year’s edition of the Terminal Festival in Udine (Italy), to be held from 12 to 21 June, reaches its 11th edition and will feature a Basque showcase on 18 and 19 June. Three Basque companies will take part, each presenting its own artistic proposal:

Markeliñe, ‘Artilusio’

Founded in 1984, Markeliñe is one of the leading companies in contemporary Basque performing arts. Their work combines object theatre, poetic imagery and humour, and has been presented at numerous international festivals. In ‘Artilusio’, the boundaries between imagination, craftsmanship and stage dissolve, offering audiences a unique visual and sensory experience.

Ertza, ‘Otempodiz’

Led by Asier Zabaleta, the company Ertza explores contemporary dance and new physical languages, bringing body, music and emotion into dialogue. ‘Otempodiz’ reflects on rhythm, tension and contemporary identity, combining physical intensity with a powerful visual staging.

Orain Bi, ‘Mute’

The company Orain Bi combines contemporary circus, movement and physical theatre in its creations. In ‘Mute’, they build a poetic and visual universe around silence and the absence of communication, placing bodily expression and human relationships at the core of the piece.
