Two Basque films will be screened at the 24th Transilvania Film Festival, in Romania, to take place from 13 to 22 June. Marco, directed by Jon Garaño and Aitor Arregi, and Una Ballena, directed by Pablo Hernando.

´Marco´, by Aitor Arregi and Jon Garaño, tells the story of a man who invented his entire life story, claiming that he was deported to a concentration camp. The film, which has won several awards, will be screened in the ‘Supernova’ section of TIFF on 15 and 16 June.

´Una Ballena´ is a thriller written and directed by Pablo Hernando. The story follows Ingrid, a contract killer who accesses a parallel world through darkness. After debuting at the Sitges Film Festival, the film will be shown on June 19 and 20 as part of the ‘Full Moon’ section at the Transilvania Film Festival.

In addition, thanks to the collaboration between the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Transilvania International Film Festival, directors Aitor Arregi, Jon Garaño and Pablo Hernando will be attending to present their films.
