WOMEX 2025: Basque. Music.

Womex, the most important meeting for the professional music players of all around the world, will be held on-site in Tampere (Finland) from the 22nd to the 26th of October.

In this festival these groups are going to participate: more than 2600 professionals of 90 countries in 7 scenarios, exhibitions of 700 organizations, more than 100 speakers, films, an opening concert and an awards ceremony, among others.

This year, Maite Larburu will participate in the showcase organized in the festival Basque. Music. on the night from the October 23 to 24, at 0:45 a.m., at the offWOMEX STAGE (Olympia).

In addition, BASQUE.MUSIC. will carry out other promotional initiatives at the fair:

• Own stand, serving as a meeting point for professionals.
• Welcome cocktail, for international professionals: 23 October at 1:00 p.m., at the stand.
• Specialised catalogue, to be distributed among international stakeholders.

The purpose of the platform Basque. Music. is to internationalize Basque music. Its promotors are Musika Bulegoa, Etxepare Euskal Institutua and the Basque Government.

In other editions, in the concerts organized in Womex by Basque. Music., they have participated Neomak (2023), Amak (2021), Juan Mari Beltran (2017), Kalakan group (2018), Topa-K project (2019) or  Xabi Aburruzaga (2020).
