Zikló is a festival organized by the Euskal Etxea of Barcelona as a showcase for the most cutting-edge creativity from the Basque Country. This year, the showcase will take place at Paral·lel 62 with Basque groups Merina Gris, Süne and Euskoprincess, as of 8 p.m.

Merina Gris

Merina Gris is a band formed in 2020 in Donostia by Sara, Julen, and Paskal. Their music creates pop sounds accompanied by powerful synthesizers, with lyrics that reflect on inner struggle and personal identity. Their most recent album, ‘Zuloa,’ fuses strong pop and electronic music while maintaining a balance between avant-garde and nostalgia. It is a fresh and powerful proposal within the Basque music scene that has captured attention both nationally and internationally.

Süne

Süne unites electronic and traditional music, and at the same time combines trikitixa and pop sounds. Her style builds a bridge between Basque folk and modernity, with great energy and originality. After a successful career with Huntza, in her first solo album — ‘AMAINEMAN’ — she lets herself be carried: one foot in the roots of the trikitixa and the other in contemporary electronics.

Euskoprincess

Euskoprincess is an artist from Hernani, known for her bold and original approach. She blends urban and electronic sounds with Basque cultural references, performing with humour and vibrant energy. Her latest album, ‘Totosaki’, promotes queer visibility and a distinctive, strong identity.
