As part of the inaugural program of the European Cultural Capital 2016 Donostia-San Sebastián, on Sunday January 24 Unesco Etxea has organized the initiative "Zubietatik Ozenki, the virtue of a bridge."


15 people will read texts in different languages over the last five bridges over the river Urumea along a walking tour starting at the JA Agirre bridge and finishing on the Zurriola bridge. In each bridge people from a wide social, diverse, plural and different languages spectrum and / or forms of communication will read or interpret previously selected texts on the idea of bridges as meeting places, union of different cultures, such as connectors memories of the people living and inhabited the city.


The director of the Etxepare Basque Institute, Aizpea Goenaga, will be among the participants at the event. She will read in Basque the text by Julia Otxoa "Haizearen etxea"; then the author herself read it in Spanish. Also participating: Jon Martin, Nieves Fernandez, Azurtza Sorrondegi, Joseba Ossa, Eragin Elkartea, Ane Ferran, Malen Larrañaga, Arantza Atxa, Silvana Luciani, Felipe Juaristi, Milos Kostic, Joxe Arregi, Rosabel Argote, Yahya Ruba, Mia Rissanen, Mika Marenk, Nerea Urcola, Asier Hilario, Jose Ignazio Ansorena, Txirri, Mirri eta Txiribiton, Maider Biguri, Montserrat Caballero, Irene Fraile, Nerea González  and Jone Martínez.
