BASQUE.MUSIC. has launched a call for applications to select an artist or group from the Basque Country to perform in a showcase at the next Folk Canada Conference, to be held from 14 to 18 October in Ontario, Canada.

The call for entries invites proposals in folk, world music, and roots music, with the selection made by the event’s artistic committee.

BASQUE. MUSIC. will cover travel and living expenses for the selected project and will offer financial compensation for the performance, following the criteria outlined in the BASQUE.MUSIC.2026 Travel Conditions. The name of the chosen project will be announced in September.

To take part in the call for submissions, applicants must meet the requirements and conditions set out in the eligibility criteria.

Folk Canada Conference will provide the necessary technical equipment (basic backline) for the showcase.

Registration will remain open until 22 July midnight. Applications must be submitted via the following link.

The event will feature showcases alongside a range of activities designed for music industry professionals, fostering knowledge exchange, networking, and new business opportunities.
