2026/06/23

Euskara. Kultura. Mundura.

Applications are now open for grants designed to strengthen the international presence of artists working in the fields of theatre, dance, music, plastic and visual arts, film and literature. Funding is also now available for not-for-profit international cultural activities.

Theatre, dance, music, and the plastic and visual arts

The first call is aimed at promoting the international mobility of artists working in the fields of theatre, dance, music and the plastic and visual arts. Support is available for festivals, exhibitions, residencies, tours and other cultural activities that expand artists’ presence in international programmes, circuits and networks.

As in previous years, these calls operate on an automatic, first‑come basis: grants are awarded in order of compliance with the requirements until the available budget is exhausted. Funding may cover travel, accommodation and subsistence costs related to the supported activities. The calls for proposals are as follows:

Applications may be submitted until 30 September.

Cine y literatura

The AT! calls for proposals also seek to encourage the international mobility of filmmakers and writers, by providing support for participation in festivals, professional gatherings, presentations, fairs and other cultural events. Invited participants may be eligible for grants to cover their travel and accommodation costs.

Applications may be submitted until 2 November or until the allocated funding has been exhausted.

Not-for-profit cultural activities

Calls for grant applications aimed at supporting not-for-profit international cultural activities are also open. These are organised in two different groups. The first is aimed at international activities linked to traditional Basque dance and choirs. The second will support projects which, due to their nature, are not eligible for any of the other grant schemes offered by the Etxepare Basque Institute.

Applications may be submitted until 20 July.

AT! Mugikortasuna

Individuals and legal entities registered as residents or have their registered office in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country All may apply for these grants. Furthermore, if the language of communication or dissemination for the project is Basque, applications may also be submitted by private individuals or legal entities whose place of residence or registered office is the Basque Country, including those based in Navarra or Iparralde (Northern Basque Country).
