MALBA Writers´ Residency 2027 | Applications Open

The MALBA Museum in Buenos Aires, in collaboration with the Etxepare Basque Institute, has opened applications for its 2027 Writers’ Residency. The five-week programme gives the selected writer the opportunity to develop a literary project while engaging with the city’s cultural life.
Applicants must have published at least three literary books. The residency covers return travel, accommodation, travel insurance and a US$500 stipend.
Applications have been open since 2 November 2026. The application guidelines and submission details are available on MALBA’s website. Further information about the Institute’s involvement can be found on the call page.
In 2026, Beñat Sarasola was selected for the residency through the collaboration with the Etxepare Basque Institute.
