Three Basque artists or companies will participate in the 27th Valladolid International Street Theatre and Arts Festival.
Trapu Zaharra, Osa+Mujika and El Mono Habitado will participate in TAC Valladolid, held from 20 to 24 May, under the Basque. Performing arts. brand.
Trapu Zaharra
Trapu Zaharra, the historic Basque street theatre company, has spent more than four decades developing its own distinctive language based on humour, improvisation and direct interaction with the audience. Their performances, always close and participatory, transform everyday situations into theatrical games full of complicity.
With ‘La última y nos vamos!’, they present their latest production: a farewell in the form of a celebration that encapsulates both their trajectory and their unique understanding of theatre. True to their spirit, the company says goodbye by sharing with audiences an ending filled with humour, emotion and togetherness.

Osa+Mujika
Osa+Mujika emerged from the encounter between Jaiotz Osa and Xabier Mujika, and from the fusion of two languages: dance and scenic visual arts. One, a dancer and choreographer; the other, a costume and spatial designer, together shape a shared universe where movement and image remain in constant dialogue.
Together they create works of great visual strength, conceived as narratives born from the same intuition: transforming ideas into living images. Their work responds to a deep creative necessity, an impulse to explore the limits between body, stage and gaze, giving rise to a distinctive language that moves between dance and the visual arts.

El Mono Habitado
El Mono Habitado is a stage creature that thinks, feels and acts, as primitive as it is lucid. Through humour, metaphor and play, it builds worlds where the everyday transforms into absurdity and poetry. Its performances are born from the impulse to tell stories and the pleasure of imagining, creating unusual situations that overflow reality. Like any good social animal, it seeks direct contact with the audience in order to share its particular vision on the world and on human nature.
