Bogoshorts: Espíritu Vasco

From December 5th to 7th, Basque cinema will play a prominent role at the Bogoshorts, the Bogotá Short Film Festival, South America´s most important short film competition. In collaboration with Bogoshorts and Kimuak, the Etxepare Basque Institute has put together a series of nine Basque short films under the title “Espíritu Vasco” (Basque Spirit).

The festival will also showcase a lively Basque presence, including several filmmakers and industry professionals: Maren Zubeldia, Mikel Rueda and Aitor Oñederra will present their work and participate in the professional activities organised by Bogoshorts. Lara Izagirre will be part of the jury for the official competition, and Esther Cabero (Kimuak) will be in charge of monitoring and coordinating the programme.

With this initiative, the Etxepare Basque Institute seeks to strengthen the international presence of Basque cinema and consolidate ties with the South American audiovisual industry.
