Working meeting with Georgian delegation
This academic year the Etxepare Basque Institute is launching a new Basque Language and Culture Chair at the Tbilisi State University (TSU) in Tbilisi, Georgia. The director of Etxepare, Irene Larraza, welcomed the representatives of the university and the Georgian ambassador on Friday, September 17th.

Mercat de Música Viva (MMVV) is currently underway in Vic, Catalunya. This annual meeting place for all music industry professionals was chosen as the venue to present the website basquemusic.eus, a tool to promote the Basque music scene abroad and further opportunities for all involved in the music industry.

‘Experiencia Elkano’ tackles major global challenges
On the occasion of the Day of the Basque Diaspora, which will be celebrated tomorrow, Wednesday 8 September -coinciding with the arrival of Nao Victoria in Seville in 1522-, the Etxepare Basque Institute, the Elkano Foundation, the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) and the Delegation of Euskadi in Argentina-Mercosur have launched the ´Elkano Experience´, a transoceanic project consisting of a virtual tour Elkano and the first voyage around the world and 16 questions that take us back to the 16th century.
